OBJECTIVE: I am thankful that I am able to help support myself and my family in a job that I bring my extensive experience to. I am able to contribute my work ethic, compassion and positive attitude to the nursing staff and the patients we care for.

SKILLS:
Management and Teamwork:
I am happy to say that I work as a nursing assistant with the FOND DU LAC PUBLIC HEALTH DEPARTMENT. I travel to client homes and help them in staying as independent as possible and to remain in their homes. Prior to this position, I worked with the Ojibway Fond Du Lac Headstart program as a rotationg teaching assistant working with challenging behaviors ages 0-6. I had a wonderful position with RSI, a residential treatment/care facility with disabled adults that have been diagnosed with traumatic brain injury being their primary diagnosis. I have worked part time in other areas through the years while being self-employed to supplement my income. Such as working at my home based business as a personal chef and also as a house keeper/manager with several clients on a weekly and bi-weekly basis.

As a direct care counselor my duties included; direct, hands on with 4 vulnerable adults, cooking and cleaning for the household while maintaining proper diet and state regulated standards of health, making appointments, driving clients to their activities and appointments. I'm certified for passing medications which include all schedules of narcotics. I also work on call all other shifts where the duties become more involved. I.E. activities etc.

As the staff supervisor, my duties included but were not limited to: scheduling, hiring/correction/employees and any employee separation, female straight cathing, training of staff, writing of independent support plans and implementing them, goal setting for clients and many more duties.

Because of other interests and past positions and because of my nurturing personality, I have learned to represent those for whom I work for with a high level of respect and sensitivity to specific needs and situations. I am also fully aware and practice HIPPA to its full meaning.

I have worked as a title examiner, librarian, optician and bar manager. I organized the various teams to accomplish goals set by the owners/upper management, as well as things I saw that would improve the work site.

As a title examiner, I was required to maintain daily activity, production and revenue as well as assist in closing real estate transactions.

As bartender and bar manager, I was responsible to train and supervise staff, inventory and accounting as well as the public relations and hiring and firing.

While employed as a public librarian, I organized volunteers and staff to move the library from its long time location to the current location, and continued supervising staff once relocation was complete and a daily routine established and wrote grants for the acquisition of monies and materials

I work well with a team and am able to motivate them to accomplish goals. I am also able to work independently, stay motivated and on task. One of my greatest compliments from a supervisor was the acknowledgment that my staff 'would follow me into a burning building'. That is a responsibility I took very seriously.
